Our Greenwood neighborhood cannabis dispensary is seeking a reliable, experienced Security Officer to join us. This is a full time position. If you meet the requirements below, apply today for an immediate interview: Job Duties Include: - Checking IDs for entry - Responding to disturbances in or around the shop - Actively monitoring shop entry/exit points and floor activities at all times - Making periodic rounds in the vicinity of the shop - Staying alert and service and security-focused whenever in guest areas - Answering guest questions, assisting on the sales floor as needed About You: - Must be at least 21 years of age - Work experience in a front-facing security role with customer service and ID checking experience is required (door person, retail security, etc). - Outstanding customer service skills - Able to work a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends and holidays, as business requires - Can work within strict compliance requirements while keeping a positive attitude - A proven track record of success diffusing difficult situations while working in a security role This position requires union membership after 90 days. Benefits: • Holiday Pay for New Year's Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Memorial Day and Juneteenth. • All employees with at least one year of continuous employment shall be eligible for up to six weeks of paid parental leave related to the birth or adoption of a child (at their regular rate of pay, based on their average hours worked for the prior year), provided this leave also qualifies under the FMLA and/or Washington’s Pregnancy or Childbirth related leave law. • An employee is eligible for up to five days paid funeral/bereavement leave upon completion of the employee's first year. • As long as employees meet the qualified minimum hours for the plan year, the pension contribution will be at $0.50 /hour for all workers averaging 20 paid hours or more per week and capped at 40 hours per week.
