The Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Specialist is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing overall strategy that delivers qualified traffic through paid search channels. Responsibilities include 'SEM' campaign creation, deployment, and optimization for the customer journey in search channels, including landing page strategy and A/B testing. The SEM Specialist will work closely with content managers, other channel owners, product managers, and partners to ensure digital presence is fully optimized for paid search. This Associate will ensure that all SEM activity is aligned with and fully supports the seasonal retail calendar and commercial planning process as well as consistent with Brand eCommerce and Digital objectives. This Associate will provide partners with weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reporting with useful insights.

Recipe for Success - What's "in store" for the role
- Manage multiple Paid Search Google & Bing accounts
- Launch, build and optimize campaigns to meet and exceed traffic, revenue, and profitability goals
- Produce campaign strategy to grow the bottom line and improve performance measures (Conversions, CPA, ROAS, Profit)
- Test Google Smart Bidding strategies, account structures, Google betas, and landing pages
- Drive daily and weekly SEM optimization exercises such as adjusting bid strategy targets, device modifications, negative keywords, ad creative, and audiences
- Craft and implement new ad copy, expand keyword inventory, perform campaign experiments
- Pilot new account/campaign structures based on Google standard methodologies & performance results
- Manage and communicate key findings and insights to partners
- Track competition and provide recommendations based on market conditions specific to impression share, top of page rate, ad copy, keyword coverage, and strategy
- Keep up with industry trends and methodologies - bringing innovation to the forefront of your work
The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients
- 1+ years of experience as a Paid Search Strategist or similar role in SEM/PPC
- Experience optimizing to a Return on Ad Spend or Profit goal
- Proficiency in Google Ads, Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads, Microsoft Ads Editor (certifications a plus)
- Proficient Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, concatenate, etc.); Ability to work with large datasets efficiently and accurately
- Experience in campaign building, keyword planning, smart bidding strategy (Target CPA, Target ROAS, Portfolio bidding, MC, MCV), audience targeting
- Strong understanding of Quality Score, Match Types, CPCs, CVR, auction insights, etc.
- Ability to multitask, work efficiently, and prioritize tasks
- Detailed, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Desire to learn and become part of the team
Extra Spices - What you should bring to the table
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office-strong Excel and PowerPoint required
- Deep knowledge in PPC (Paid Search) strategy, tactics and execution
- Ability to navigate GA360 and GA4 and pull data
- Strong relationship building, communication and ability to gain consensus
- Strong customer orientation
- Motivated with an ability to accomplish tasks on time
- Program management skills with attention to detail
- Provide evidence-based and data-driven recommendations
