Senior .NET developer with AWS

Project Description

Our Customer is one of the world's largest investment management companies. Based in Southern California, our client manages close to $2 trillion in assets and is looking for a new partner to participate in a full-scale upgrade of their technology. We are looking for talented and ambitious people to work on the new engagement in the client's offices near Los Angeles, California.

Responsibilities

• Work with project business and system analysts to clarify the requirements and then implement them• Participate in code reviews• Enforce standards and best practices• Participate in Agile SDLC
As part of the project, you will be working with a fund accounting system critical to the organization's business
Written is C#, the application uses a set of sophisticated business rules and operates non-trivial data structures related to investment portfolios, managers, and positions. The book of work will include technology modernization, including the transition to .NET Core, microservices architecture, containerization, and ultimately migration to AWS.

Must have

• Strong communication/collaboration skills• Team oriented• Well-versed in agile practices• Strong problem-solving skills• Extensive experience in application design and Cloud• Extensive experience with deploying a .Net application in Cloud (AWS)• Extensive experience across the Microsoft development stack .NET programming, SQL/DB programming, Aspect-oriented programming concepts• Strong relational database concepts;• Experience in Postgres database would be a plus• Extensive experience implementing supportability into the solution• Proper logging, Exception handling, and error reporting, Resiliency• Extensive experience with Solution Lifecycle Management tools

Nice to have

Familiarity with financial markets, trading, and investment management
