Senior .NET Software Engineer

Job Description:

DTN currently has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Software Engineer on our Energy Development team. Join a tenured team and build software that is used by large oil and gas companies across North America!This individual will be able to design and develop new products and enhance existing products using a variety of development technologies.Responsibilities

• Participating in understanding the requirements and collaborating in the design
• Design documentation, prototype, code and test components
• Partner with the QA team through the testing plans and execution
• Support operational department and production systems as needed
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Technical Lead or Development Manager
• Keep up with new and changing technologies and develop an understanding of how these technologies can be used to provide solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience

• Proven experience in using web services to facilitate application communication.

• Proficiency in .NET development using C# and Visual Studio.

• Solid background in database design.

• Preferred experience with ASP.NET MVC, Web API, jQuery, CSS, Unit Testing, WCF, Kendo UI, Angular, TypeScript, Git, and Azure

• Desired experience in creating front ends in React

• Desired in creating rest API's with Node JS and Express JS 

• Previous experience with Palantir is advantageous.

• Preferred experience with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL databases.

• Desired expertise in developing PL/SQL stored procedures.

• Commitment to adhering to industry best practices and standards in development, technology, and security.

• Strong analytical skills for evaluating product requirements and designing effective solutions.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $101,250 and $135,000 DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
