Overview:

Centric Software, a leader in digital product development and collaboration solutions, is actively seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior 3D Application and Experience Engineer. This pivotal role focuses on enhancing our 3D Viewer Platform, including Style and Material Viewers, by developing advanced 3D applications for our esteemed clients in the luxury and consumer goods sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain advanced 3D web applications with a focus on PLM integration and viewer enhancements.
• Innovate in areas such as 3D asset delivery, configurator applications, and system maintenance.
• Implement automated solutions for 3D asset handling, optimization, and rendering.
• Contribute to the development of the optimization pipeline, data configuration, and 3D Viewer enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of 3D applications into our core PLM platform.

Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of experience in web and application development, with a specialization in TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS.
• At least 2 years of experience in 3D web application development.
• Extensive knowledge in Node.js and Three.js, including experience with textures, UVs, Raycaster, and custom shaders.
• Proficiency in canvas image and SVG data manipulation, JavaScript animation practices, and Photoshop.
• Understanding of the GLTF/GLB formats and pipelines.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and NoSQL architectures.
• Familiarity with 3D concepts, tools, and software such as 3DS Max, Blender, or Rhino, and the ability to set up 3D scenes, cameras, and realistic lighting.
• Strong expertise in front-end frameworks (Vue, React) and JavaScript front-end frameworks.
• Background in multi-product 3D configurator development is highly desirable.
• Additional skills in physics, animation, and server-side rendering of WebGL assets are advantageous.

Your Role:

• Lead the development of high-quality, scalable, and robust 3D web applications.
• Design and implement APIs, data models, and efficient data layers to support web applications.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate on coding standards and development tools.
• Deploy, maintain, and monitor applications on AWS, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance development practices and product quality.
