Nokia Standards targets collaboration with internal and external experts to advance the state-of-the-art technology landscape as well as to protect Nokia's intellectual property. We are looking for ambitious and highly engaged colleagues as part of the Standardization & Industry Environment Team.
What you will learn and contribute to
We are looking for highly motivated and skilled Senior 6G Standardization Specialist to create our vision, strategy, use case and requirements for 6G research and standardization.
As part of our team, you will:
- Support Nokia with standardization contributions as part of the Nokia delegation, on global, regional and national levels;
- Represent Nokia in Next G Alliance and 3GPP.
- Create a vision and strategy, uses cases and requirements to be supported by 5G-Advanced and 6G in the future.
- Collaborate with the Nokia business groups and customer projects, and engage with customers and ecosystem partners as part of the research and standardization process
- Drive Nokia's position on standardization-related questions in conjunction with other internal stakeholders such as Research and Product R&D;
- Develop standards contributions and change requests;
- Create inventions and intellectual property (IPR's) and support strengthening of Nokia IPR portfolio
Your skills and experience
- MSc degree or PhD in computer science or equivalent
- 5 plus years of experience in the wireless technology field
- Strong system background in 5G or LTE is a prerequisite
- A profound understanding of radio access systems is a prerequisite.
- Proven ability to work in a multi-national and distributed team, as well as the self-motivation to work independently.
- Experience in leading distributed team(s) is an advantage
- Fluent English is essential
