Nokia Standards targets collaboration with internal and external experts to advance the state-of-the-art technology landscape as well as to protect Nokia's intellectual property. We are looking for ambitious and highly engaged colleagues as part of the Standardization & Industry Environment Team.

We are strengthening our NAM standardization team with expert on sustainability for 6G. As senior 6G sustainability architect , you will be working on 6G research and standardization related concept creation, studies, and coordination in sustainability together with Nokia experts in the area. You will also follow closely the developments in regulation related to your area.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies for senior 6G sustainability architect

• You will coordinate and lead the overall Nokia effort on 6G sustainability research and standardization both from climate and circularity perspective.
• You will drive Nokia's position on standardization-related questions in conjunction with other internal stakeholders such as Research and Product R&D;
• You will conduct analyses and studies in the area from sustainability perspective.
• You will also form and provide technical recommendations for Nokia position in standardization together with Nokia experts in the area.
• You will be writing papers for conferences and publications as part of Nokia thought leadership ambition and contribute to external forums such as Next G Alliance.
• You will develop standards contributions and change requests for relevant SDOs, mainly 3GPP.
• You will create inventions and intellectual property (IPR's) and support strengthening of Nokia IPR portfolio
• You will form Nokia position on proposals for 6G research alliances, standardization and/or industry associations together with Nokia experts in the area.

Your skills and experience

• You are passionate about sustainability.
• You have M.S. in relevant area, e.g., environmental, electrical engineering, telecommunication, materials, physics, computer science.
• You have excellent knowledge of 5G, motivation to do 6G research.
• Ideally, you have also general understanding of the work done in standardization and/or industry associations.
• You have innovative and analytical mindset.
• You communicate fluently both in speaking and writing.
• Previous publications on this expertise area would be an advantage.
• You are able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
