Senior ACAS Systems Administrator
Job Description
Leidos Enterprise & Cyber Solutions Defense team is seeking an experienced ACAS System Administrator who will have responsibility for reviewing, analyzing, and documenting security vulnerability and compliance scans within the Army's C5ISR CSSP. The work will be performed at our customer's Adelphi, MD site. An active DoD Secret clearance is required and you must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive installation, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and administration of ACAS/Nessus Vulnerability Scanner applications.
- Utilize vulnerability scanning tools proficiently, including expertise in Vulnerability Management System, Continuous Monitoring, and Risk Scoring.
- Demonstrate adeptness in security architectures, with hands-on experience in Windows, Linux, and UNIX operating system administration.
- Conduct thorough vulnerability analysis, research, and collaborate with System Administrators to mitigate identified vulnerabilities, crafting Plans of Actions and Milestones (PO&AM) as necessary.
- Configure, operate, and sustain HBSS and its components on Windows and Linux systems, ensuring uninterrupted processes through exception creation.
- Provide expert guidance on vulnerability and malware remediation strategies, tailored to meet specific customer needs.
- Analyze customer requirements to identify and implement effective security solutions, aligned with DoD STIGS, IA Tools, and Risk Management Framework.
- Deliver technical support to customers across various software, hardware, and DoD-specific applications, focusing on ACAS solution integration.
- Showcase proficiency in network design, LAN/WAN systems, and lab configuration, encompassing installation, operation, and maintenance of networking equipment.
- Address and replicate client environment issues, with in-depth understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and SMTP.
- Assist in the application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs).
- Ensure comprehensive coverage by scheduling scans for 100% of intended assets and verifying successful execution.
- Regularly update and troubleshoot Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) compliance checks, identifying and resolving any update failures.
- Configure, optimize, and validate vulnerability scans across diverse Operating Systems and platforms to enhance system security.
- Conduct Nessus vulnerability scans and agent scans, analyzing results to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Perform thorough scan policy analysis and configuration to assess the impact of vulnerability scanning on target devices.
- Resolve credential failure issues through meticulous configuration analysis on target devices.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires BS and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience, additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Must hold an active DoD Secret security clearance, with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret.
- Hold current DoD 8570 IAM II CSSP-Analyst certification
- Proficient in conveying ideas adeptly across various settings, including formal presentations and informal discussions, both in group settings and one-on-one interactions.

- Skilled in strategic planning, organization, and prioritization of tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of objectives.
- Capable of maintaining control over tasks and following up to ensure successful task completion.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
