CereCore is seeking a Senior Accessibility Specialist to join our hybrid team.
Summary
As part of the Web Operations team, responsible for providing support to HCA's 14 divisions, the Accessibility Specialist is responsible for supporting the overall quality control of web content and compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines to ensure a high quality and consistent user experience. This includes routine content publishing and support. This role will report to the Quality Assurance and Accessibility Manager.

Summary

Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance
- Conduct qu ality assurance audits and evaluations to ensure websites are accurate and follow company guidelines
- Conduct accessibility audits and evaluations to ensure we bsites are in Web Content Accessibility
- Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 AA compliance with Americans with D isabilities Act (ADA) standards
- Support overall quality control on web content in order to ensure a high-quality and consistent user experience
- Conduct detailed quality assurance tests on new site builds, migrations , and project implementations
- Perform remediation of content issues - such as incorrect text and image formatting, broken links, and misapplied tags - in the content management system
- Perform remediation of accessibility issues - such as incorrect heading structure, missing alt tags, and color use - in the content management system
- Perform routine content publishing updates and activities as needed
- Audit content publishing activities for accuracy and adherence to enterpris e standards and best practices
- Proactively r eport defects and issues
- Create and maintain test scenarios and identify /report issues
- Develop maintainable automated test framework
- Performance testing of web sites and applications
- Communicate testing statuses, including reporting of ove rall test results
- Reproduce and document bugs to escalate to the development team
- Collaborate with production and publishing team members
- All other duties as assigned
- Extensive knowledge and experience with web technologies (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Xml, and Web content
- management systems)
- K nowledge and experien ce with automated quality assurance tools and processes
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.0 accessibility standards and guidelines a plus
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and independently lead projects to completion
- Knowledge of disability law including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section
- 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Section 504)
- BS degree
- 3 + years of experience with web and mobile applications
