About the Team

Workday has a strong commitment to accessibility and we are growing our team to further expand upon accessible experiences across Workday solutions. We partner with experience, product and technology teams to ensure that our products are designed to be accessible and inclusive of all demographics which is critical to our values and the work that we do. We are seeking a Senior Accessibility Specialist located in Atlanta, GA to join the Accessibility team in championing our important work, establishing standards for excellence, and to be the voice of diverse perspectives within and beyond our organization.

About the Role

Are you passionate about digital accessibility and design? We're looking for a versatile accessibility specialist / subject matter expert to join our Atlanta accessibility team. You'll contribute to the growth of the Workday Accessible experiences across our solutions. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives on learning about new technologies and working on fun and challenging projects. It's a hands-on, technically inclined role, where you'll be working with an amazing cross-functional team to understand customer needs, gather requirements, and then lead the overall process of taking accessible ux designs through to production.

About You

You have a user-centric focus on delivering the best products and services. You are passionate about the opportunity to positively change how millions of people who use assistive technology interact with enterprise applications - making them more engaging, personalized, and inclusive. You have experience working with a variety of assistive technologies and experience relating WCAG requirements to broad audiences to win support.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years professional experience in digital accessibility
  • You have strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get things done
  • Strong communication skills - written and verbal - with the ability to deliver engaging presentations and demos to customers and partners

Other Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or above
  • Organize the feedback from users of assistive technology to feed the strategic backlog in your product area.
  • Evaluate software for conformance to WCAG 2.1 criteria for desktop and native mobile applications.
  • Work with partners in federal and state sales cycles to ensure alignment on Workday's accessible journey
  • Lead the Accessibility release plan and functional backlog for your product area, and align it with all partners and dependencies
  • Engage directly with customers in both structured and unstructured settings and communication
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to more junior team members
