Today, governments across almost 20 countries have used our platform for disaster relief and to protect over 300 million people.ย  We launched the first commercial parametric flood insurance product to protect climate-vulnerable communities.

The Role

As a founding member of our go-to-market team for our state of the art insurance and climate adaptation capabilities, you will lead sales for several key accounts and partner with marketing, product, and customer success to create, test and iterate on new commercial strategies while building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Here's what you'll do as our first Senior Account Executive:

  • Proactively build a revenue line by originating new business opportunities through networking, events, outreach, and more while managing the sales cycle for your deals from start to finish
  • Meet and exceed sales quota and activity goals as set by the leadership team
  • Ensure timely and appropriate follow-up for all sales-related activities
  • Represent Floodbase at major conferences, key sales meetings and more, speak knowledgeably about Floodbase products and solutions and how we are differentiated
  • Domestic/international travel up to 20% of time

Who You Are

The successful candidate must have a proven track record in a SaaS or Software sales environment, ideally with experience selling to the financial services sector, along with drive and energy and a consultative sales and research driven approach

  • We are looking for someone with the drive and the determination to succeed in a high growth environment
  • You should have an entrepreneurial spirit, desire to perform and make a difference, while being analytical and team-oriented
  • 4-7+ years of financial or SaaS sales experience, ideally in insurance or data/analytics
  • Successful track record closing deals and generating revenue in a B2B sales environment
  • Geospatial, scientific, or insurance training preferred but not requiredย 
  • Comfortable and experienced closing complex $100K+ deals
  • Ability to accurately forecast future opportunities
  • Ability to manage relationships with large and complex customers
