Likewise is a media and entertainment platform providing personalized content recommendations and discovery for TV, Movies, Books and Podcasts. We have the largest entertainment and media focused newsletters available anywhere. Our newsletters complement our existing product ecosystem of mobile apps, streaming TV guides on the web, and connected TV apps, and they have over 6.5M subscribers.

We are hiring a Sr. Account Executive who will build and execute on a robust digital ad sales strategy to monetize Likewise's growing business. The successful candidate will have experience specifically selling digital ads in email newsletters and will have a robust network of agencies and/or brands to call on and start generating revenue in the near term. In this role, you will:

  • Successfully pitch and win new clients; and grow existing revenue from current clients
  • Compellingly articulate the benefits and unique features of a scaled email newsletter
  • Pitch integrated marketing opportunities spanning the range of our product offerings
  • Create marketing and advertising industry awareness of Likewise broadly and its email newsletter offerings specifically

Requirements

  • 4+ years in digital ad sales (more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply, as we have flexibility in level)
  • Experience and, ideally, expertise in selling email newsletter products specifically - either as a standalone or as part of a broader portfolio of sales products
  • Ability to manage short & long term revenue targets
  • Deep understanding of marketer and client needs and campaign objectives
  • Network of leading marketers and agencies contacts, for both endemic and non-endemic categories
  • Ability to work in unstructured, start-up culture
  • Proven experience in sales
  • Ability to compellingly pitch deals, structure and negotiate, and close partnerships
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial, scrappy, nose for deals & dollars
  • Travel to client meetings as needed
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills

Benefits

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are pleased to share the base salary range for this position is $70K to $140K with significant commission potential over and above base. We acknowledge that this is a really wide range, and that is because we're open to hiring at multiple career levels. In addition, we anticipate negotiation higher/lower on base and commission depending on the individual. If you are hired at Likewise, your compensation will be determined based on factors that may include including geographic location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any offer. Please bear in mind that the range listed is the full base salary range for the role, and hiring at the top of the range would not be typical, in order to allow for future salary growth. The range listed is just one component of Likewise's total compensation, which includes: PTO; paid holidays; medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance; employee assistance program; 401k; professional development; paid parental leave; and stock options. Certain revenue-generating positions may be eligible for commission and/or other incentive compensation.
