Edelman is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our growing Health practice! This opportunity is perfect for a passionate PR professional who would like to grow their career in healthcare communications.

We recently won the opportunity as agency of record for one of the largest and fastest-growing businesses we represent at Edelman Health. The opportunity– which is comprised of two broad components: corporate communications and digital – spans multiple areas of focus including executive visibility, internal communications, policy, digital content strategy & creation, and more.
Responsibilities:
- Play a major role in creation of communications plans and goals; manage against them
- Serve as a client-facing contact with ability to drive a project, when appropriate
- Possess strong experience in research, writing, and editing
- Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects on a fast-paced, high-profile integrated account, anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
- Leads account and project management tasks, including keeping internal and external teams on track, overseeing internal and external deliverables, trackers, and timelines
- Produce high-quality internal and external communications content, including press releases, key message documents, Q&As, blog posts, articles, etc. under tight timelines with competing priorities.
- Proactively raise a hand and jump in to support junior and senior team members with ad-hoc client asks as they arise
- Supervise junior staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable, and conducting their reviews
- Commit to continuous learning and improvement of leadership skills; set and pursue stretch goals
- Generate creative ideas and help to lead multiple client programs simultaneously
- Possess a solid understanding of the current healthcare landscape and the relevant issues impacting organizations and businesses active in the health space
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Edelman’s values (Quality, Integrity, Respect, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Mutual Benefits) and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields including research, advertising, management consulting, media, and publishing.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- A proven ability to manage multiple small or medium-sized projects simultaneously.
- They should be able to develop communications plans, implement public relations tactics, and impart knowledge to more junior team members.
- They should have strong research, writing, editing, and client interaction skills, perform well under pressure, and be a team player.
