Job Description

The Account Executive will own the overall account strategy and execution for an assigned book of health plan clients. Responsible for developing executive level client relationships and expanding the portfolio of EviCore and Evernorth solutions within each client. This position will lead all sales efforts, client retention efforts, RFP's, and contract negotiations. The Account Executive will indirectly lead the Client Management Directors/Managers to ensure full team alignment on account strategy execution including contractual deliverables, operational excellence and growth goals. The Account Executive will maintain strong internal stakeholder relationships and coordinate across the organization to expand the Evernorth footprint within each client. This role will act as a trusted advisor to each client and escalation point for issue resolution.

What you must have

  • 10 or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in the payer segment
  • Proven experience leading and growing large complex client relationships in senior client engagement roles such as: strategic client management, client partner, enterprise sales executive or equivalent.
  • Proven track record in driving growth through large, complex, long-term service contracts into payer organizations, including outsourced services, risk-based arrangements, etc.
  • Collaborative style and history of partnering and driving activities across multiple organizations to achieve objectives
  • Ability to motivate and direct teams in a high-paced, matrix environment
  • Experience in contract negotiations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Requires in depth knowledge of the payer market including Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Requires understanding of each client's challenges and growth plan with an ability to position EviCore and Evernorth solutions to achieve those plans
  • Requires cross functional collaboration with product leads, legal/contracting, pricing, operations, compliance, and Evernorth counterparts
  • Requires an understanding of regulatory requirements and industry legislation
  • Requires understanding of contract terms and required deliverables
  • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
  • May require off-site travel or travel up to 40%

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing strong executive level relationships with each client (Decision Makers)
  • Development and execution of account strategy plan
  • Directs team to achieve service levels and growth goals
  • Driving solution growth and delivering on assigned revenue/profitability goals
  • Managers retention efforts, RFP's, and Contract/Pricing Negotiations
  • Maintains strong internal stakeholder relationships (Pricing, Legal, Product leads, Ops leadership, etc.)
  • Leads Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meeting prep and presentation.
  • Drives enterprise collaboration and development of strategic solutions
  • Fosters a team environment with a shared growth and enterprise mindset
