Job Description

As a Senior Account Manager, you are the client’s champion within the agency. You’re looking to flex your skills growing and managing client relationships, but you still want some direction. Good news—you’ll get strategic guidance from an Account Director or Client Partner. You’ll lead project teams in the development of digital advertising solutions for our Clients. Client satisfaction, account revenue growth, and overall business profitability is on your shoulders—but your abilities to lead a project team within a vertical client set are up to the challenge. Most importantly your clients—from mid to senior level—regard you as a trusted advisor to deliver excellent digital experiences.


You Will:

  • Manage project relationship with select client organization
  • Be responsible for the success and satisfaction of individual client relationship(s)
  • Build relationships with senior managers within client organization
  • Be responsible for client satisfaction, while targeting 100% client reference-ability
  • Lead projects/initiatives to conclusion/delivery
  • Create opportunities for deeper collaboration and interaction and reinforce the client’s status as an innovative participant in the creation of cutting-edge solutions
  • Understand all disciplines enough to provide a quality assurance check of project deliverables and have a point of view of best practices and solutions across functions
  • Provide leadership, support and ongoing guidance to members of the project team
  • Provide Critical Mass’ internal teams with appropriate insight into client’s strategic business initiatives
  • Have a point of view on industry structure, trends, initiatives, and issues
  • Have a point of view of best practices and solutions across functions
  • Provide Critical Mass’ Executive Sponsor, VP, Client Partner or Account Director with insights into organizational opportunities for cross and up-sell opportunities
  • Oversee the development of detailed proposals and statements of work with the support of core team members including an Account Director, VP, Client Partner or member of the executive management team.
  • Significantly grow the client relationship in terms of revenue generated and account profitability
  • Proactively sell and manage customer expectations and communicate project and profit risks to Critical Mass team and client

You Have:

  • 5+ years of Account Management experience in an Internet Marketing or Advertising Online Media
  • Experience working with complex clients delivering annual services revenues in excess of $2MM each
  • Experience with integrated, digital and social-first campaign development, strategy and production
  • Experience working as part of an Inter-Agency Team model, partnering with media, brand, and PR agencies to deliver full-funnel campaigns
  • Ability to work with strategists, data analysts and media partners to facilitate an on-going test-and-learn environment
  • Financial services and B2B background is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: business, marketing, communications, e-business engineering, or computer science
  • Demonstrated understanding of Customer Relationship Management, Content Management, Analytics, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, and Internet Technologies
  • Knowledge of programs, projects and knowledge management processes and toolsets
  • Demonstrated skills in negotiation and leadership
  • Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, including outstanding presentation skills
  • A comprehensive and detailed knowledge of issues within e-business, which includes a strong working knowledge of third-party solution providers
  • Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal skills, especially in situations involving consensus and team building with strong problem-solving skills related to program and account management
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Team orientation, particularly working with remote or decentralized team
  • Keen sense of creative thinking and problem solving
