Senior Account Manager-Private Equity
Job Description
We are growing and are looking to add a Senior Account Manager (SAM) to our Private Equity team. The SAM will have a key role in supporting client relationships along with senior members of the team.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Servicing and marketing needs for current and prospective Lockton clients with a focus in the Private Equity space.
- Direct interaction, client engagement and relationship building within the insurance marketplace are key components for this position.
- The Senior Account Manager will be the primary service contact for an assigned book of business and develop a strong working relationship with both the clients and carriers supporting Private Equity business.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to continually expand knowledge of Private Equity and grow within the company.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Five+ years' working knowledge of employee benefits or related experience.
- Experience in marketing and servicing the employee benefit programs.
- Organizational and time management skills to prioritize heavy workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) or similar software applications.
- Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of Presentation Master.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility.
- Strong public speaking skills to present during Enrollment Meetings.
- Willingness to delegate as appropriate.
- Demonstrated understanding of when to proceed alone and when to involve the Account Executive, Unit Manager, Producer, and others.
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication and interaction with company personnel for favorable relationship management and account outcome.
- Demonstrated professional, tactful negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives
- Managing workflows proactively without AE interaction and in accordance with AQ guidelines, and demonstrated initiative to support AEs working in tandem for an efficient and effective product outcome.
- Ability to present proposals to clients in a professional manner.
- Ability to coach and mentor other Associates.
- Ability to consult clients on other Lockton services and insurance needs.
- Ability to analyze quotes for coverage adequacy
- Personal presence to interface with insurance carriers' representatives.
- Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft, and stay for more than one day and night.
- Firm, fluent grasp of English language with above average verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to interact with Associates at all levels of responsibility.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
- The desire to take on a leadership role both internally and externally at Lockton.
