Overview

In this highly visible role, you'll be a key link between our operations, accounting and FP&A teams, applying attention to detail and good judgment skills to deliver accurate and timely information required to manage our scaling business. The Senior Accountant will ensure timely upkeep of TMS (transportation management system) information to our accounting system and ensure that our carrier partners are being paid in a timely and appropriate manner. You will have regular interaction with internal client management and support teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand the pain points of customers and carriers and implement processes that make it easy for customers to pay
• Understand the billing processes to provide guidance to customers and collection teams, identify defects immediately and drive resolution upstream of AR.
• Develop policies, procedures and processes with internal support teams, then implement and enforce globally (continuous improvement cycle).
• Performs pre-audits of all invoices for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and appropriateness prior to payment
• Manage a team of offshore resources
• Assist in the month end, year end and annual audit processes.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-5 years' work experience in related role (Analyst).
• 5-7 years' work experience in related role (Manager).
• Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications
• Ability to work cross-functionally, both internally and externally
• Experience working at a fast-paced company
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Background in Supply Chain / Logistics a plus but not required
