Spotnana is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our growing global team. This key role will report to the Director of Accounting & FinOps and partner with stakeholders across the business to help develop, refine and enhance our existing accounting close processes. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of excellent interpersonal and critical thinking skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams across our organization to support our accounting processes and provide accurate and timely financial insights. It is an exciting opportunity to be part of building a world class accounting team! Â
Responsibilities
- Help build and enhance the accounting close processes and policies to ensure timely and accurate recording of financial activity in accordance with GAAP
- Enhance existing and partner cross-functionally to implement new accounting processes and procedures
- Prepare month-end and recurring journal entries and support monthly, quarterly, and annual trend analyses
- Prepare balance sheet accounts reconciliations
- Help compile monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and surface trends or issues that require management's attention
- Support domestic and foreign compliance tasks and reporting as needed for IATA filings, sales taxes, 1099’s, VAT filings, etc.
- Draft and maintain accounting policy memos, as needed
- Partner with the business to provide accounting guidance and analysis support
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to assist business partners with research on any unusual transactions
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field, CPA a plus
- 3+ years of accounting or related experience, travel or technology experience a plus
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and application to accounting processes
- Advanced excel, MS office, and/or G Suite skills
- Experience with ERP systems, MS Dynamics preferred
- Solid communication and documentation skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with partners and cross functional teams
- Attention to detail and proactive approach when faced with challenges
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload independently
- Commitment to continued improvement for financial processes and self
- Flexible in a fast paced and rapidly change environment

Our market-based compensation approach uses data from trusted third party compensation sources to set salary ranges that are thoughtful and consistent with the role, industry, company size, and internal equity of our team. Each employee is paid within the minimum and maximum of their position’s compensation range based on their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related specifications.Â
The annual cash compensation for this role is: $65,000 - $85,000 USD.
