How You’ll Make a Difference
As a senior accountant, you’ll play a critical role in accounting operations by supporting the monthly and quarterly accounting close and financial reporting. Having an exceptional finance team is essential to our success. Your work will have a direct impact on our ability to continue to develop innovative technology and deliver our transformative therapy to patients who need it most.
The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do
- Work on the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process to ensure accurate and timely completion of expenses, accrual, and prepayments accounts.
- Prepare compliant journal entries and related documentation for clinical and manufacturing accounting.
- Review and analyze clinical contracts, invoices, change orders, and vendor financial reports to compare and reconcile data.
- Participate and support the maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley internal control requirements, and schedules and documentation for SEC reporting.
- Prepare account reconciliations, roll forward schedules and other ad hoc schedules and analysis.
- Assist with external audit requests and PBC items for the quarterly and year end audits.
- Prepare flux analysis for assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with the clinical department and other cross functional departments to ensure accuracy and completeness of operating expenses.
Skills and Experience We Look For
Our ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field and 3+ years of relevant work experience. We will consider candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience.
To thrive in this job, you’ll need to demonstrate that you have excellent project management and organizational skills, keen attention to accuracy and detail while under tight deadlines, and experience with NetSuite, strong MS Excel skills, and strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
