Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Month end and general ledger
  • Monthly financial close and consolidation duties for multi-currency
  • Review and preparation of journal entries
  • Prepare account reconciliations associated with AP, AR, Prepaid Expenses, Accrued Expenses, Accrued Revenue, Fixed Assets, Deferred Revenues and more.
  • Responsible for maintaining Revenue Recognition in accordance with ASC606
• Reporting & Analytics
  • Assist in preparation of monthly financials statements,
  • MTD, QTD and YTD actual vs. plan and period over period report preparation and associated analysis of variances
  • Coordinating overhead reporting and explanations with department heads
  • Compile and analyze daily and weekly operating metrics for management and board reporting
• Compliance and Regulatory
  • Assistance with Annual year end audit
  • Preparation of GST and other such tax reporting and research on compliance matters
  • Sales and Use tax filings
  • Corporate tax return assistance (including international entities)
• Accounts Receivable:
  • Ownership of subscription management tool for invoicing
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely creation of customer billings
  • processing payment receipts
  • customer sign ups and
  • contract data validation
• Accounts Payable:
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of company expenses
  • ensuring accuracy of GL coding
  • fixed asset handling
  • Manage employee expense reimbursements

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years prior equivalent work experience
• Prior experience in a high-growth SaaS organization is strongly preferred
• Advanced skills in Excel (working knowledge of advanced functions and formulas required)
• Strong analytical skills & high level of detail orientation
• Highly developed interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
• Self-directed and motivated towards leveraging technology for efficiency and transparency
• Proven track record for meeting deadlines with minimal errors
• Comfortable in fast-paced, interruption heavy and dynamic environment
