Senior Accountant

OVERVIEW

The Senior Accountant’s responsibilities will include month end close processing and closing procedures. It will also require a thorough knowledge of accounting principles as well as excellent analytical skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

• Accounting support to the General Ledger accounting function
• Direct preparation of monthly journal entries
• Prepare reconciliation schedules and roll forward analysis monthly
• Produce periodic reports for the executive team
• Analyze financial information to draft recording entries
• Review business documents such as leases and other contracts
• Support external audits to ensure compliance with US GAAP
• Develop and document business processes and procedures
• Identify and implement improvements to internal controls
• Liaison with third parties such as bank representatives and outside consultants

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS degree in Accounting or related business field
• Experience working in a multi-national corporation
• Experience with general ledger functions and large ERP’s
• Public accounting experience required
• CPA desired
• In-depth understanding of US GAAP
• Ability to execute deadline driven month-end processes
