Your Mission:

We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Senior Accountant to join our team. This individual must be a results driven person who takes initiative, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to join a dynamic team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position will be responsible for the Company's revenue recognition functions and assisting with month end close. The Senior Accountant will be a key player in streamlining the accounting department.We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Senior Accountant to join our team. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this position will be responsible for the Company's revenue recognition functions and assisting with month end close. The Senior Accountant will be a key player in streamlining the accounting department.

Requirements

• Perform entire revenue accounting function for the Company.
• Key contributor in the monthly revenue close process, ensuring proper accounting treatment and preparing revenue analysis, deferred revenue schedules, and related journal entries with proper backup to substantiate entries.

• Review unique sales arrangements in detail to ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and ASC 606 and prepare appropriate documentation.

• Prepare monthly revenue to billing reconciliations to ensure total billing activity has been recorded.

• Establish a partnership with the business units to provide support, guidance and ensure that proper technical guidance is followed during the contract negotiation process.

• Ensure compliance, monitoring and updating policies as needed, with ASC 606.

• Work closely with the Order Processing Team and ensure compliance with internal policies, subscription management and accounting guidelines, including reviewing contracts to assess proper revenue recognition treatment

• Assist finance with monthly/ad-hoc reporting request and support the annual and quarterly forecasting process.

• Support the team in moving to a new billing system

• Assist with other areas of the close process as time allows
• Assist with annual audit and various ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• CPA
• 3+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years of public accounting experience within a large audit firm
• Experience with ASC 606
• Advanced Excel skills. This role is data intensive and qualified candidates must have experience with, and interest in, analyzing and merging large sets of data from multiple systems. X-Lookup, Sum-if, Pivot Table and other advanced Excel knowledge is required
• Ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate complex accounting and reporting issues to finance and non-finance personnel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide business explanations for balance flux, trends etc.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills, detail orientated with a high level of ethics and integrity
• Experience in software and/or subscription business is a plus
• Experience implementing accounting software and/or subscription management system is a plus
