Senior Accountant

Purpose: 

This position is responsible for ensuring revenue is recorded in accordance with contractual terms. Including recording monthly revenue journal entries and reconciling issued invoices to ensure the P&L and Balance Sheet is correctly stated, as well as reporting on AR and working capital. This role also assist with other accounting projects as needed.

Job Duties: 

• Owning the full cycle of Revenue for the firm
• Preparing monthly revenue recognition and revenue by client schedules for financial reporting
• Working with project directors to confirm and record monthly revenue journal entries and invoice details
• Tracking gross exposure and credit limit for clients
• Working with project directors to maintain accurate/timely time entry
• Tracking A/R and submitting reporting to our parent company Omnicom
• Working with project teams to ensure A/R is collected in a timely manner (no external collection contact)
• Tracking and reconciliation of deferred and prepaid revenue balances
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the revenue process
• Assist with preparation for external and internal audit
• Special projects as needed

HYBRID WORK MODEL:

Our employees have the flexibility to work remotely two days per week. We expect our Crederians to average 3 days (full or partial) per week in person with the flexibility to choose the days and times that work best for both them and their project or internal teams. This could be at a Credera office, at a client site, or at an off-site location with other team members. You’ll work closely with your project team to align on how you balance both the flexibility that we want to provide with the connection of being together to produce amazing results for our clients.

Travel: Our goal is to keep out-of-market travel to a minimum and most projects do not require significant travel.  While certain projects can require frequent travel (up to 80% for a period of time), our average travel percentage over a year for team members is typically between 10-30%. We try to take a personal approach to travel. You will submit your travel preferences which our staffing teams will take into account when aligning you to a role.

• Strong communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills

• Intermediate to advanced understanding of MS Office
• Ability to work independently
• Must be able to maintain a high-level of confidentiality and ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to change
• Education & Experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • CPA or Public Accounting experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Consistent use of hands and fingers to operate a mouse and keyboard
• Occasionally required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop and kneel
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
