Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will take charge of maintaining our financial records and ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded. You will be pivotal in reconciling ledger accounts, preparing complex financial reports, and conducting financial analysis to forecast future revenues and expenses. Your insights will be vital in guiding our financial planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain general ledger, reconcile account balances and bank statements, and prepare month-end financial statements.
• Analyze financial reports and forecasts, utilizing a thorough understanding of accounting principles.
• Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Produce detailed accounting reports and summarize financial status.
• Identify and correct errors, improve efficiency, and minimize unnecessary spending.
• Participate in the setting of financial standards and in the forecast process.
• Prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to schedule.
• Assist with tax audits and tax requests, and direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Support the month-end and year-end close process.

Results Responsible for:

• Accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Successful execution of the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Compliance with all internal and external audit requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Awareness of business trends and ability to interpret financial statements.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

Soft Skills:

• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required).
• Relevant certification such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred).
• Public accounting experience of 4+ years

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range of $90,000 - $120,000, plus a discretionary year-end bonus.
