Senior Accountant

Pendo is looking for a Senior Accountant with a background in public or corporate accounting to join our rapidly growing Finance Team. In this role, you will partner with the Accounting Manager to build the accounting backbone for a high-growth software company backed by top institutional VCs. This is a highly visible position and a good opportunity to help build out the finance function as the Company continues to grow.

Role Responsibilities 

• Play an active role in the multi entity, global financial close process and preparation of month-end journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement reporting and analysis
• Actively seek to improve existing accounting processes and document/assess internal controls 
• Work cross functionally with different departments including payroll, procurement and FP&A 
• Support audit requests including reconciliations, financial statement preparation and research of technical accounting guidance
• Ad hoc duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications 

• BS degree in Accounting or a similar degree
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience or combination of public / private within a SaaS organization 
• Solid understanding of GAAP and a financial close process 
• Experience in account reconciliations
• Deep knowledge of systems and reporting
• Software knowledge: Excel & Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications 

• CPA certification
• International Experience
• Experience with FloQast, Intacct, etc.
