Senior Accountant

Ushur is currently seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join the Accounting/Finance team as a Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of hands-on accounting responsibilities with strong understanding of the application of GAAP and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have uncompromising attention to detail, a positive, proactive, team-focused attitude and strong sense of ownership. This role will report directly to the Controller and necessitates full-time in office presence three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, and Revenue Recognition
• Real-time processing journal entries, credit card reconciliations
• Analyze revenues, commissions and expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
• Oversee all intercompany processes and reconciliations
• Prepare and post consolidation entries, such as elimination, non-controlling interest
• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statement
• Support month-end and year-end closing process
• Liaise and coordinate with external tax agents and auditors and maintain corporate tax filings
• Experience with multitasking and dealing with ambiguity
• Ensure timely, complete & accurate reporting of accounting records
• Ensure that all accounting processes align with GAAP and current financial legislation
• Work closely with international accounting teams to ensure consistent application of accounting policies and procedures
• Assist in developing the forecasting models for various departments
• Support other management team members including Sr. VP, Finance and Controllers with other special projects including yearly audits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or MBA preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Expert-level experience with Excel, financial modeling experience desirable
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases such as QB Online, Netsuite
• Attention to detail and ability to manipulate large amounts of data
• Deadline oriented, organized, ability to multi-task ability in a fast-paced environment
• Team-player, positive attitude and flexible
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
