Senior Accountant
Job Description
Atlantix Partners is growing! Reporting to the Controller, we are currently seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our Finance Team.Β The Sr. Accountant will assist in the daily operations of the Accounting Department to prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information, as well as assisting in various projects.Β
Responsibilities:
- Participate in Month-end Close including verifying and recoding monthly recurring entries, prepaid and other amortization entries, Fixed Asset set-up, depreciation and disposal, and reconciling, adjusting, and maintaining Balance Sheet accounts, including, but not limited to, Cash, Accounts Receivable, Prepaid Expenses, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable and Credit Card Payables.
- Assist with daily cash activity including invoice payments and bank transfers,
- Prepare and submit bi-weekly client invoicing.
- Prepare audit schedules and assist Controller with preparing for and supporting the annual audit.
- Assist CFO & Controller in coaching and attending to first level questions from accounts payable, receivable, and payroll team members.
- Perform data analysis reporting and insights as directed by CFO.
- Assisting with special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in accounting is required. A graduate degree in accounting is an asset.
- CPA licenseCPA Candidate a plus, but not required,
- 4 years of previous general ledger experience, including balance sheet account reconciliation, journal entry preparation, accruals, and accruals true-up and month-end closings.
- Experience working at a Big 4 or other accounting firm is an asset.
- Be able to work independently or in a group, and exercise good judgement to help streamline manual processes.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software with an above average proficiency with Excel Pivot tables, V lookups, SUMIF formulas, etc).
- Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI is preferred.
- Experience with Acumatica or other similar accounting systems is required.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must be highly organized with ability to multi-task.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Must be able to meet strict deadlines consistently and function in a fast-paced environment.
