Job Summary 
 
As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned. An ideal candidate is detail oriented, good with numbers, and has strong written and oral communication. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Period End Close 
    • Responsible for preparing complex account reconciliations (with a primary focus on inventory, reserves and 
      allowances) and analyses on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. 
    • Responsibilities may also include reviewing staff accountants' reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting and Ad Hoc Analysis
    • Work with other team members to compile and distribute financial reports including but not limited to:
      • Budget to actual variance analysis
      • Inventory, Cost Accounting, and Manufacturing Analysis
      • Store P&Ls
      • Expense account drill downs
  • Compliance 
    • This position is responsible for completing various compliance and reporting tasks such as
      • Preparing annual 1099s
      • Coordinating with other Bedrock entity finance teams to compile monthly collateral reporting for the bank
      • Royalty reporting for our licensing partners 
  • Coaching and Development
    •  responsible for training and reviewing the work of the staff accountants or shared service clerks (AR and AP). 
      This includes answering questions and providing constructive feedback on a timely basis, as well as delegating work so the staff 
      feels challenged and ready for growth opportunities when they are available. 

Qualifications

  • 3 -5 Years in Corporate or Public Accounting (CPA preferred)
  • Bachelors in Accounting / Finance (Masters preferred)

Key Hard Skills 

  • ERP/MRP experience, Microsoft Dynamics AX proficiency -preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency - required
