Come join Unity as a Senior Manager of Accounting! This is a critical position supporting the growth of the business while ensuring controllership. This highly visible role will partner cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, Tax, Legal and others to lead impactful projects to drive efficiency and build processes that scale.

What you’ll be doing

• Collaborate inside and outside of finance to build scalable processes to support growth while also ensuring accuracy, compliance, and integrity
• Analyze existing systems and identify opportunities for automation/cost reduction through new or improved systems, leading project activities from start to finish including: proposing recommendations to stakeholders, obtaining and negotiating vendor quotes, implementation, integration, end user acceptance testing, etc.
• Partner with the SEC reporting team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and other disclosed financial information.
• Direct influence of the worldwide accounting teams as we design best practices for close processes and internal reporting, implementing pre-close activities, and shortening the close calendar.
• Accounting integration planning and management for acquired companies and consolidation of acquired entity results

What we’re looking for

• Progressive accounting experience, preferably including a mix of public accounting and industry experience with public companies
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ability to research complex accounting requirements
• Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills at all levels within the organization

• Experience with statutory reporting of multi-national companies
• Proven track record to work cross-functionally and adapt to change
