Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. You will be an integral part of our financial operations, overseeing financial operations, analyzing statements, ensuring GAAP and DCAA compliance, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. 

Responsibilities 

• You will be responsible for accounting functions such as Accounts Payable, Cost/Project Accounting, and Government Reporting (DCAA Compliance)
• Reports to Controller to perform month end reporting, financial and accounting analysis, monthly journal entries, support and ad hoc accounting projects as needed
• Assists with the maintenance and/or implementation of software tools and systems
• Responsible for fixed assets including monthly roll-forward and account reconciliation
• Responsible for all payments and cash account reconciliations
• Works and collaborates with multiple operational departments including HR, Supply Chain, and Operations
• Willing to learn, grow and take on new challenges in an exciting, dynamic, team-oriented and collaborative environment

 Must Have 

• 3-5 years GL/Accounting/Finance experience, or equivalent
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related quantitative field, strongly preferred
• Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, reconciliation and analysis capabilities, problem solving skills, process improvement oriented, research capable, time management, data entry management
• Must be detail-oriented
• Strong foundation and understanding of US GAAP accounting principles
• Excellent time management, scheduling, and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; build trusted partnership with internal and external customers
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong Excel (pivots and logical), PowerPoint and Word
• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Flexible and adaptable to changing environment
• Ability to work well independently or in a team setting
• Ability to work in office as needed (hybrid role)
