Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for accounting operations including full cycle cash, general ledger posting, and production of periodic financial reports in accordance with GAAP. They will be a key stakeholder in ensuring the company controls and operations are designed to mitigate risk and enhance the overall efficiency and accuracy of the company’s financial results. 

This role is hybrid working out of our Atlanta, GA or Newport Beach, CA offices.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Bi-monthly preparation of payroll
• Prepare monthly journal entries to include: amortization of prepaids, accruals, deferred revenue, etc. 
• Assist in the preparation of the month financial reporting package to include: balance sheet, income statement, statement of cash flows, and other schedules. 
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations. 
• Determine weekly check run and review support for vendor payments. 
• Prepare various ad hoc reports and analysis for senior management. 
• Identify process improvements related to accounting and/or operational policies and procedures within the company. 
• Perform financial review of overall company performance.
• Other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-5 years of experience as an Accountant
• CPA or CPA candidate, preferred
• Experience with Sage Intacct
• Experience with G-Suite / Google Workspace, preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software systems 
• In-depth understanding of accounting best practices
• Detail-oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills

Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located, and is subject to change based on work location.
