Job Overview
The job helps the accounting team to provide timely and accurate financial information to the company by analyzing data and transactions, preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations. This is true every month end and at year end when it is critical to support the annual audit of the company’s financial statements.
What you’ll bring to the table: (Responsibilities)Â
- Prepares month-end close journal entries and assists with the monthly close cycleÂ
- Prepares monthly account reconciliations
- Assists in tax related mattersÂ
- Fields questions related to actual departmental expenses incurred, works with Finance to explain differences between budgeted and actual variances
- Prepares accrual/expense analyses as-needed
- Assists in the preparation of year-end audit related documentationÂ
- Participates in special projects as neededÂ
Do you have the right mix of ingredients: (Requirements)
- Advanced MS Excel skills preferred, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
- Experience with general accounting software preferred.Â
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills required.Â
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Accountancy degree required.
- CPA certification preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience in related field
