About This Position:

Opportunity to join a growing Finance organization. This position reports to the Senior Associate, Finance + Accounting, and will also work closely with FP&A and Billing departments.  

As a Senior Accountant, you will assist the accounting team with accounts payable and expense management, cash applications, and monthly close tasks to facilitate the financial reporting process. This individual will have the opportunity to be a key player on the Accounting Team.  Candidates are expected to have a strong attention to detail; demonstrated problem solving skills; and the ability to thrive in fast paced environments and work independently.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Prepare journals, schedules, and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including cash, prepaid, fixed assets, and deferred revenue during the monthly close process.
  • Prepare of financial reporting information and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support accounts payable processes including processing invoices, making payment batches, and answering emails from vendors.
  • Support in reviewing and approving employee expense reports, AP and credit card reconciliations
  • Assist in the annual audit in terms of gathering supporting information and answering questions for external auditors
  • Support the accounting and billing teams in their daily functions.
  • Collaborate with Finance + Accounting teammates to resolve issues and work on special projects as needed, such as ERP system implementations
  • Partner with other departments to understand and support business processes, ensure proper accounting, and resolve reconciling differences
  • Other ad-hoc accounting tasks, as directed by management.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is required
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • CPA preferred, or planned path to obtain CPA license
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Suite, experience with NetSuite or Coupa is a plus
  • Must have attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast-changing environment
  • Excellent professional judgment, tact, and decision-making ability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
