Job Description

Are you a driven and detail-oriented Staff Accountant ready to take the next step in your career? Hi-Cone is seeking talented individuals like you to join our dynamic team as a Senior Accountant!

As a crucial member of the finance team, the Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for assisting with everyday functions and tasks of the team. This role is full-time on-site working hours are flexible between 7:30am and 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities include ownership of the inventory process, accounts receivable process, fixed asset capitalization and budget reporting/tracking. Successful performance and professional development in this role will create professional growth opportunities at ITW. 

The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000 and it is consummate of experience and qualifications.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Owns full Inventory management process from raw materials, receiving, inventory counts, reconciliation and grading
• Prepares various budgets and analysis as needed to provide timely data for decision-making
• Performs month-end, quarterly and year-end financial closing procedures and reporting in an efficient manner
• Assist in capital expenditure requests and audits and manages fixed assets
• Owns Accounts Receivable (AR) process from cash application, preparation of aging reports through collections and maintains aged balances within targets
• Monitor and analyze workflow to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy
• Effectively communicates and coordinates the exchange of financial information to key stakeholders
• Manages and reports Sales & Use tax and tax audit requirements
• Completes additional department/interdepartmental projects and analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
• A minimum of 3 years in Public Accounting or relevant experience in a publicly traded company OR 5+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to demonstrate a strong analytical and inquisitive mindset
• Desire to grow and succeed
• Proficiency with standard office word processing, spreadsheets, and database software
• Understanding and application of accounting principles/practices
• Demonstrates ownership over processes and attention to detail with a positive attitude
• Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
• Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
