Mission Statement
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to support the Finance team by maintaining the integrity of the accounting rules and compliances for various Buckman entities. In this role, you will assist in re-enforcing and optimizing financial processes and controls. As the Senior Accountant, you will be part of a high-performing Accounting team where teamwork is essential along with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.

Expectations for this role
- Prepares journals and schedules for Month, Quarter, and Year end closes
- Prepares account reconciliations, including researching and resolving variances by influencing others in the organization to take action
- Analyze accounts for reasonableness and proper accounting flows; ensure proper financial controls are in place
- Understand the full cycle processes and provide support during month-end close
- Review large volume of data and find discrepancies using multiple systems, follow up until resolution is in place
- Participate in audit process
- For assigned accounting areas, develop in-depth knowledge of financial reporting and how they interface with the general ledger
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Minimum requirement to apply
Must have had successful experiences:
- B.S. or equivalent experience in Accounting or related scientific/technical field
- 5+ years of related experience
- Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong communications skills in both written and verbally
Desirable Experiences:
- Familiarity with financial accounting statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Knowledge of SAP (preferred) or other ERP systems
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working with global stakeholders
- Demonstrated superior documentation skills
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to network and collaborate cross-functionally; and embrace and manage change
