The Opportunity:

As a Senior Accountant at Alpha Lion, you will be a linchpin in upholding the precision and integrity of our financial records. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the financial health of our organization, leading a team, and fostering growth. This position is a gateway to honing expertise across diverse accounting and financial management domains.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial transactions and finalize the posting process.
• Maintain an impeccable record of financial transactions through meticulous posting and verification.
• Ensure equilibrium within the general ledger.
• Daily entries in the GL.
• Prepare a comprehensive trial balance for review by senior financial personnel.
• Generate insightful financial reports by collating, analyzing, and summarizing intricate accounting data.
• Assure adherence to federal, state, and local legal prerequisites.
• Scrutinize discrepancies and deviations from the projected budget, furnishing incisive analysis to management.
• Provide expert counsel to management regarding compliance imperatives.
• Spearhead accounts receivable/payable procedures and execute payroll in a punctual manner.
• Collaborate in diverse financial activities encompassing payroll processing and invoice generation.
• Provide support in payroll administration.

Requirements

• 4+ years working as an in-house accountant or in a firm.
• Demonstrable work history in an Accountant capacity or equivalent role.
• Profound comprehension of accounting principles, regulations, and financial workflows.
• Proficiency in leading accounting software and adeptness with MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional aptitude for analytical quandaries and adept problem-solving skills.
• Exemplary focus on precision and meticulousness.
• Self-sufficiency and adeptness in both independent and collaborative work settings.
• Exceptional organizational acumen and time management prowess.
• Profound communication skills and an innate ability to foster interpersonal relationships.
• Familiarity with payroll processing and pertinent regulations (preferred).
• Preferred proficiency in GUSTO and Bill.com platforms.
• Knowledge of US state tax regulations, demonstrating nuanced understanding.
