As we are growing and evolving, we are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage our financial operations and support our team. Position Overview The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in the construction industry and possess a strong understanding of job costing and Sage 300 Construction & Real Estate accounting software. This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual who can manage day-to-day financial operations along with some human resources and office managerial responsibilities as needed. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management and general ledger activities. • Manage, utilize, and optimize the use of Sage 300 accounting software for accounting, payroll, job costing and financial reporting. • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements. • Ensure accurate job costing and financial tracking for multiple projects. • Prepare and perform monthly, quarterly and year-end procedures such as account reconciliations, journal entries • Preparation and submitting of financial documents for tax filings, audits and regulatory compliance such as B&O taxes, Payroll taxes, insurance audits, etc. • Maintain internal financial controls and procedures. • Work with accounting and other departmental staff to ensure efficient and accurate financial operations. Qualifications & Experience • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • 5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the construction or contracting industry. • Strong experience with job costing and project-based financial tracking. • Proficiency with Sage 300 accounting software (or similar construction accounting systems). • Understanding of accounting principles and cost allocation methods • Ability to work independently and as a team member. • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
