We seek a highly motivated Senior Accountant to work with our accounting, development, and asset management teams on a portfolio of 60+ properties and development projects. This key position will report to the Controller. This position requires an enthusiasm for learning, keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Assist with all financial operations of the portfolio including financial reporting, lender reporting, and treasury management.
• Monitor cash balances, review payables, and manage forecasts to ensure adequate liquidity at the property level. Prepare quarterly distribution calculations and funding requests for ownership.
• Assist in various treasury management functions including opening new bank accounts, initiating wire transfers, and tracking due-to-from transactions.
• Supervise and review the work product of accountants and interns.
• Work closely with asset management to prepare monthly reporting packages, including variance analysis, for a portfolio of commercial, retail, and multifamily properties.
• Work closely with development to reconcile project costs to date in job cost to monthly draws and review development fee calculations.
• Provide support in the design, implementation, and automation of financial policies, procedures, workflows, and controls for consistent reporting across the portfolio.
• Support the Controller and President on special projects.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Process and results focused with a passion for customer/investor satisfaction, accuracy, efficiency and innovation.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting (1 in real estate accounting).
• Demonstrated exceptional understanding of accrual, GAAP financial statements and general ledger accounting.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Experience with MRI, Yardi or JD Edwards a plus.
