Senior Accountant

Job Description

Resideo is seeking a Senior Accountant. This position will be responsible for full month-end close processes, analytical variance analysis and monthly account reconciliations for the ADI distribution business.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in Month-End close process, prepare Journal Entries & account analysis
• Responsible for monthly Balance Sheet, P&L trend reviews and variance analysis
• Perform monthly account reconciliations
• Preparation of quarterly & year-end workbooks
• Support interim, YE and SOX audits
• Preparation and submission of annual tax packages
• Participate and lead special projects focused on continuous improvement of accounting practices
• Collaborate with functional departments to ensure processes follow Controllership policies & US GAAP

MUST HAVES:

• B.S. in Accounting
• 3+ years' experience in Accounting
• Prior Senior Accountant experience
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

• CPA or CPA eligible
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements including automation to reduce non-value-added work
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to adapt to changing environments
• Public Accounting experience a plus
• Driven self-starter who can work independently and work as a member of a team
• Strong demonstration of financial and analytical skills with the ability to think outside the box
