Title: Senior Accountant, North America Controllership

Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid)

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant in the North America ("NAMER") Controllership team is responsible to assist with closing the general ledger for entities based in our North America region. This will include working with various stakeholders (both internal and outsourced) to achieve timely and accurate results and utilizing strong technical accounting skills to ensure that transactions are appropriately accounted for in accordance with U.S. GAAP. The other core responsibility is performing and reviewing in depth account reconciliations.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Prepare recurring and adjusting journal entries, reviewing transactions and monthly/quarterly consolidation accounting tasks including intercompany-related activity.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist external auditors and internal auditors with their reviews of various journal entries and/or account reconciliations.
• Cross train with other NAMER Controllership team members to learn their roles & functions to be able to back them up as needed.
• Assist in any other special projects as requested.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Actively working on obtaining CPA license (if not licensed)
• 3 - 5 years of related corporate accounting experience in a large multinational company
• Experience in US GAAP accounting and reporting
• Microsoft Excel advanced user
• Ability to use a variety of software programs and tools to analyze and work with large data sets and accomplish tasks efficiently
• Strong analytical skills, ability to research issues in a complex accounting structure to resolve problems; detail-oriented, yet able to identify issues and grasp concepts at broader level
• Must be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work with a variety of individuals in both team and self-directed environments
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbal, with all levels of management
• Ability to work within defined time constraints and within deadlines during month end financial close while driving longer-term projects to successful completion

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed CPA
• Prior experience with Oracle Cloud and Tableau tools
• Industry / corporate accounting experience
• Experience with Oracle ERP (On-prem and/or Cloud) or SAP Business Objects
• Experience supporting an outsourced relationship
