Position Summary:

As an industry leader in wholesale, retail, and residential food distribution, Baldor Specialty Foods continues to grow and evolve at a rapid pace across all departments. The Senior Accountant will have strong organizational skills and have ability to accurately track and record transactions. The Senior Accountant will assist with reconciling of accounts and related journal entries.

Responsibilities:

• Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances

• Prepare month-end and yearly financial statements

• Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement / budget versus actual variance analyses

• Analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals to ensure adequacy and adjust as necessary

• Assist in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management

• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules

• Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements

• Ensure the confidentiality and security of all financial files

• Help with field work for financial and operational audits

• Perform other diverse duties as requested or required

• Supervising accounting staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• At least 5-7 years of experience in accounting or related field / CPA preferred, but not required

• Demonstrated proficiency in General Ledger Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll tasks

• Advance Excel knowledge - All formulas, not just pivots, sum/if, etc.

• ASC 842 Lease Accounting experience preferred!

• Strong problem-solving skills and work ethics.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Familiarity / Competency with Dynamics365, or other accounting tools.

• Attention to detail

• Good listening and communication skills
