About the role

LifeMD is looking for a passionate, self-starter to join our rapidly growing company as Senior Accountant. The position reports directly to the Manager of Accounting. The position will have significant opportunity for growth and upward mobility.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly Close- Own the monthly close process for all Operating Expense, Capital Expenditure, Fixed Asset, Depreciation and Equity Accounting related items including journal entries, trial balances and account reconciliations
  • Expense Control- Partner with AP and other Finance partners to manage all expense accruals, prepaid expenses and variance analysis
  • Financial Systems- Participate in select aspects of key projects concerning financial systems including implementations and enhancements
  • Internal Controls- Assist in the development of documentation and implement policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  • Audit- Assist in the completion of relevant quarterly audit activities
  • Special Projects- Participate in special projects as assigned by the CFO, Controller and Manager of Accounting

Requirements

  • CPA Preferred, but not required
  • 3-7 years of general accounting experience, preferably with a mix of public and private company experience
  • High energy, self starter that is intellectually curious and a team player
  • Strong fundamental knowledge of US GAAP, revenue recognition, billing and COGS preferred
  • Public company experience preferred
