Senior Accountant

Sr. Accountant, reporting to the Finance & Accounting Manager, handles the day to day functions of accounting. Responsibilities: • Assist in the Company’s month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations. • Analyze expenses to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis. • Perform other general accounting responsibilities such as: -Accounts payable; -Cash receipt deposit applications; -Bank/Credit Card activities; -Sales cut-off testing in support of revenue recognition and internal controls; -Maintaining the fixed assets subledger, calculating and recording depreciation expense -Preparing account roll-forwards; and -Preparing the property tax return, coordinating with other team members • Supports Finance & Accounting Manager with ad-hoc projects as needed Required Skills/Experience: • 3+ years in relevant accounting experience is required. • Solid understanding and application of accounting principles, concepts, and practices. Experience with NetSuite and Adaptive is preferred. Proficiency with Excel and Word. • Experience working with International subsidiaries and branch offices in a multi-currency, multi-country environment. • Ability to drive and accept change and to manage time effectively and efficiently. • Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously and to creatively resolve problems. • Must be results driven, detail oriented, and be able perform in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work independently, as well as, in a team environment.
