Senior Accountant

Job Description

Advantive is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join a collaborative and growing team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, a great communicator, and enjoys collaborating with people with a diverse set of talents, in a dynamic fast-pace environment.

The Senior Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager (Technical Accounting) and is responsible for assisting with the day to day running of the accounting function, including but not limited to performing general ledger accounting, bank statement reconciliation, preparing journal entries and financial statements.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the month-end closing process, conducting research and making correcting journal entries for account discrepancies, preparing closing journal entries and account reconciliations, posting accrual entries, flux analysis, and preparing financial statements across all entities
• Performs benefits expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, as needed
• Assists in preparing inter-company entries, expense allocations, and eliminations as part of consolidation
• Complete other projects as necessary

Skills & Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA a plus
• 3-5+ Years of Public Accounting or a mix of Public Accounting and Industry experience
• Demonstrated ownership, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with impeccable integrity
• Strong technical skills and internal controls background.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Passionate about driving continuous improvement in yourself and within your functions
• Ability to prioritize multiple duties and work independently
• Flexibility and comfort with continuous change, willingness to take on challenges, and work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong excel skills and passion for new technologies that promote efficiency
• Ability to travel to Tampa on a quarterly basis

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with NetSuite
• CPA or CMA, or interested in pursuing
• Experience with M&A, and Private Equity backed SaaS
