Senior Accountant

We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. We hire top performers and give you the autonomy to deliver results. While we're growing extremely fast, we maintain a casual, small business work environment where your teamwork and flexibility is key to success. 

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for financial revenue reporting and overseeing the month-end close processes. You will work closely with the Director of Accounting and VP Finance to ensure accurate reporting and to continually improve upon current processes.

Responsibilities:

• Own the entire revenue process, from month-end close, account reconciliations for deferred and unbilled revenue, and reporting to business leaders 
• Manage short-term revenue forecasting data that is presented to executive team on a bi-weekly basis
• Identify and correct any revenue or billing discrepancies and irregularities by working with billing and project management teams
• Ensure timely execution and review of month-end and quarter-end close activities including preparing journal entries, account reconciliation, analysis, and reporting
• Perform detailed review of general ledger accounts and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Assist with researching and solving accounting issues relating to revenue recognition, one-off transactions, and general accounting matters 
• Maintain schedules pertaining to, prepaids, fixed assets and accrued expenses.
• Contribute to the long-term maturation of our finance department by working with our global offices to transition month-end tasks from U.S. team
• Assist in preparing audit schedules, providing data to auditors, and coordinating with auditors to resolve their queries
• Maintain and improve upon the current accounting processes to maximize accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain documentation of current processes and procedures
• Coordinate with personnel across departments to resolve accounting matters
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

Requirements

• BS/BA Accounting/Finance/Business
• 3-5 years of Accounting experience 
• Revenue recognition, audit or accounting experience
• Experience with preparing Financial Statements, Journal Entries, Internal Controls, Expense Accruals, Month-End Close and Quarterly Financial Statements
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Working knowledge of Quickbooks, Google Sheets, Excel, Google Suite products

Helpful but not required

• CPA or pursuing CPA
• Previous experience in a consulting services firm or high growth company
