The Senior Accountant is responsible for applying business knowledge and accounting expertise to assist in providing a wide range of Finance advice and support. They will offer guidance on day to day operations, month end close, daily and monthly reports, employee training and development, performance management, and Finance best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.

• Prepare accurate, timely financial statements in accordance with our established schedule and with input from the rest of the finance department.
• Facilitate monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
• Build Relation with Bank Reps
• Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the Controller and Head of Finance’s attention
• Review all inter-company transactions to ensure properly recorded and sufficient backup is available.
• Reconcile all balance sheet accounts
• Delegate financial responsibilities to the accounting team
• Coordinate all audits and assist the Controller while audits are being performed
• Conduct regular ledger maintenance
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
• Provide input in the departments goal setting process
• Assist with Tax return prep and 280e calculations
• Plan, assign and review staffs work
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be 21+
• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, business, or a related field
• A minimum of 2 years of working experience as a Senior Level or Higher
• General knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices
• Possess superb written and spoken communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
• Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Accounting software and ERPs, Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping
• Organized and efficient in daily tasks
• CMA, CPA or CIA - preferred
