The Job
As our Senior Accountant, you'll report to our Senior Accounting Manager and will have a key position in UserZoom's Finance department. You will take the lead role in various accounting duties including the calculation and accounting for commissions under US GAAP ASC 340. You will also be one of the primary points of contact for commission related questions. In addition, you will assist the Finance department with monthly accounting functions and general ledger close, including account reconciliations, journal entries, variance analysis, and reporting.

Other responsibilities include;

• Assist with the monthly general ledger close
• Ensure assigned accounts are properly reconciled each month, along with supporting variance analysis and explanations where applicable
• Preparation and submission of adjusting journal entries for assigned areas
• Work with Sales Management, Sales Operations, and Finance in order to ensure that the commission plans are calculated correctly and commissions are paid in a timely manner.
• Provide ongoing quality support and resolve commission issues and exceptions to the sales organization
• Work closely with the People Team and Sales Operations to track changes in sales employee data for new hires, terminations, and transfers
• Calculated monthly sales commission and bonus accrual
• Assess and apply technical guidance related to sales commissions and deferred costs, including the application of ASC 340
• Calculate and record monthly deferred sales commissions
• Work with auditors on all deliverable related to the sales commission process, accounting and payments
• Provide accounting support in other areas as needed (expense reports, treasury, allocations, etc.)
• Other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned

Requirements
Here's the experience and skill's we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree OR extensive relevant accounting experience
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP and specifically ASC 340
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a high-growth, fast-paced and dynamic tech environment.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and communication skills across all levels of the business and global locations.
