As our Senior Accountant, you will ensure the accuracy of financial documents, evaluate financial operations, and offer guidance on cost, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization to support Stryker's Neurovascular division.

What You Will Do

  • You will participate in the financial closing process by performing monthly journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations and communicating with global peers.
  • Analyze monthly operating expenses to identify any irregularities and collaborate with operations to validate and resolve.
  • Communicating key account trends, risks and opportunities through insightful analysis to leadership.
  • Preparing reports and analysis to support the site reporting requirements.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance controls, efficiency, and automation.
  • Adhoc analyses, research issues and participation in projects with other individuals across the company are expected from this role.
  • Analyze product cost data to identify and support cost optimization initiatives
  • Ensure organizational adherence to Stryker financial policies by performing monthly internal controls and compliance deliverables
  • Document and enforce all internal control policies and procedures. Identify opportunities for control improvements.
  • Leverage knowledge of the business to support preparation of reliable budgets and forecasts
  • Develop expertise in retrieving and analyzing data from ERP system (SAP)
  • Participate and support standard cost roll process in SAP

What You Will Need

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting and finance experience required (exposure to cost accounting preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree required (accounting or finance preferred)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong accounting application (SAP).
  • MBA, CPA, or CMA preferred
  • Ability to sit on site in our Salt Lake City, UT location 3 days a week.

Travel Percentage: 10%
