Job Description
The Senior Accountant will perform complex accounting tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations. The Senior Accountant will be responsible to actively develop, execute and supervise operational processes which support the mission of CDPHP and its subsidiaries. In addition, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for a leadership role in the Accounting Department. The incumbent will represent Finance on project teams, which may include and not be limited to financial system upgrades, new/changing product reporting implementation, enhanced financial processes, and various database maintenance and enhancements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree required. Four years relevant experience may be substituted for degree.
- CPA or advanced degree in business preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in an accounting role required.
- Insurance or healthcare industry accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is required.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required.
- Experience with project management/coordination preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical skills to develop, review, and interpret financial information.
- Demonstrated ability to implement general ledger functions in related accounting areas.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize complex computer systems, such as FACETS.
- Cross-functional understanding of operational processes and interface with accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to retrieve and analyze financial data as well as the ability to produce and present comprehensive reports.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and shift priorities to meet day-to-day operational needs as well as mandated deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to take the lead and work independently on projects.
- Demonstrated ability to pro-actively identify problems, as well as recommend and/or implement effective solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and develop relationships both internally and externally.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment.
Annual salary range: 62,000.00 - 72,000.00
CDPHP salary ranges are designed to be competitive with room for professional and financial growth. Individual compensation is based on several factors unique to each candidate, such as work experience, qualifications, and skills. In addition to cash compensation, CDPHP employees may be eligible for an incentive payment, a discretionary cash reward based on employee and company performance. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.
