If this sounds like you – we want you part of our team! Courser is actively recruiting for a Senior Accountant.
Reporting directly to the Controller, you will be responsible for performing daily accounting functions and assisting with the monthly close process.
 What you will do:
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls; ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Perform monthly reconciliations for all of the Company’s bank accounts
- Reconcile and manage prepaid accounts including utilizing Intacct system to track and amortize on a monthly basis
- Maintain and perform accounting for all fixed assets including recording in the fixed asset system, and performing depreciation and disposals as necessary; submit all required property tax filings for fixed assets
- Review and manage accrual accounts to ensure accurate amounts are reflected on a monthly basis
- Manage lease accounting for all of the Company’s leased locations, including calculating amounts for new leases
- Oversee the Balance Sheet reconciliation process for entire team including ensuring all reconciliations are submitted in a timely manner
- As part of month end close, perform flux analysis to review P&L for potential items that need correction and document reasons behind variances
- Assist in preparation for annual audit and tax returns

- Hands-on experience with accounting software—Intacct is highly preferred.

Requirements:
- BS/BA in Accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Familiarity with Balance Sheets and Income Statements
- 5+ years’ experience preferred
